Join Us For The Big Sew Off
I’m looking for 9 or more volunteers to join me for The Big Sew Off in Coventry, West Midlands.
The Big Sew Off is a charity event, created by Sew Over It, where we’ll be sewing for 24 hours to raise money for Mind the charity. We’ll be based in a conference room in Scarman Conference Centre at The University of Warwick, Coventry. The event runs from 10am on Thursday 7th November 2024, to 10am on the Friday 8th November 2024.
I’d love for you to join me in this amazing Sewathon, and help us raise money for a fantastic charity.
Things you may like to know:
- teas and coffees will be available for free throughout the day and night
- there will be free parking available
- you can bring your own sewing machine, or use a machine kindly provided by Juki
- you can buy food from the bar downstairs, including vegan options
- there are also places to eat across the University of Warwick campus
- we can recommend a place to stay, which has an early check in time, in Coventry City Centre, near the train station, for after the Big Sew Off
- the event may be live streamed, photographed and recorded
- the clothes we sew will be donated to Give Your Best or The Air Ambulance Charity Shop Cheylesmore
- we can provide fabrics and sewing patterns
