Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who joined in with the Feeling Sew Much Better challenge. It was wonderful to see you all make so much progress over a week! It was so lovely to hear that many of you did start to feel a little bit better and that you enjoyed the slower pace of the challenge. I hope you’ll keep sewing and enjoy the process. ***On a completely unrelated note, here I am in a new top. I managed to get pictures taken of my latest makes, so I thought I’d show you this one. This was initially supposed to be a dress but I didn’t like the way it was shaping up, so I made it into a top. The top is completely impractical as it’s too short and the neckline is too big. It’s a bit of a sewing fail if I’m honest. I might try to rework it at some point as the fabric is just so pretty! The fabric is currently sold out, but I’ll try to restock it.#sistermintaka #selfdrafted

The Feeling Sew Much Better challenge is back! S

The Feeling Sew Much Better challenge is back! Starting from Monday 11th January 2021, for 7 days, I’m giving away a £25 @sistermintaka voucher each day. It’s open to all sewists across the globe. I want you all to start working on a sewing project, whether that’s garment making, quilting or something else. You can use any fabric you like. Take a look in your stash and see what you have! On Monday I’ll ask you to share your plans for the week. From Tuesday to Saturday, I’d like you to share your work in progress. Sunday will be the the final day where I want you to show off your new makes! It’s ok if you don’t finish within a week, you can still share your work in progress on the Sunday! When you share your entries in Instagram Posts, tag @sistermintaka and use the hashtag #FeelingSewMuchBetterDay1 for Monday, #FeelingSewMuchBetterDay2 for Tuesday and so on for each day. This way I’ll be able to find your entries more easily. You don’t have to enter everyday, but it would be so lovely to see your progress. This time around Instagram stories entries won’t be counted towards entries. Instagram isn’t reliable at showing me all of your mentions in stories so I don’t want to miss any entries. Your account will need to be set to public in order for me to see your posts. I know some of you will be thinking ‘oh no, my grid!’ That’s why it’s ok for you to enter on any day you like. You can just share your newly completed make on the Sunday if you like! It would be lovely to see your progress though, but it’s completely up to you! The aim is to lift our moods by doing the one thing we all love, Sewing! I’d love to see you all take part and interact with each other by searching through the daily hashtags. Let’s lift everyone’s spirits and get through this together 💕Terms and Conditions: The daily prize draw starts on 11/01/2021 and ends on 17/01/2021. Daily entries will open at 00.00 am (UK time) and close 23.59 (UK time). One winner will be chosen at random from the previous day’s entries and the winner will be announced on Instagram.
