Sister Mintaka presents the Cleo sewing pattern by Tilly and the Buttons.
Cleo is simple to sew, with no fiddly zips and minimal fitting required – hooray! Make it dungaree-style with buckle, or as a pinafore with button fastenings. Choose from mini length or knee length with optional front split. patch pockets on front or back, and contrast topstitching. Wear cleo all year round, layered over a t-shirt, shirt or sweater.
Materials and Supplies
Main Fabric: Medium weight woven fabrics that hold their shape like denim, corduroy, cotton drill, gabardine, canvas, wool.
Supplies: Universal Needle or Jeans Needle, matching thread, 0.4m of iron on interfacing, 2 x 30-35mm wide dungaree buckles with 2 no-sew jeans button, OR 2 buttons, optional contrast colour topstitch thread with Topstitch / Embroidery Needle
