I adore the Matisse Jacquard fabric. It’s perfect for making coats and jackets. You may have spotted me wearing it in the first episode of my TV show. It’s an absolute joy to wear.

You can use the fabric for garments, accessories or even homewear.

Well that was a challenge!! I won’t share any spoilers but Episode 1 of Dress The Nation was an emotional watch for me. I found the experience really challenging but I did everything I could to get through it.

I’m so proud of myself for creating those garments. My goal was to design something that was made to last and I definitely did that.

I’ve probably only self drafted a few items properly before this show. I am most definitely out of my depths here!
I don’t have the skill set to create all of my wildest design ideas yet, so I had to keep it real. I got out my pattern cutting books and started to make garments that I’d love to wear. I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved.

I haven’t seen the following episodes so I’m excited for the next one! Tune in on Tuesday at 8pm on @itv 1!

This is the Andy dress by @annies_sewingstudio and it was the perfect hot weather dress for the Barcelona heat. It’s pretty straightforward to make and looks good dressed up or down. I can definitely see myself making another one, maybe in linen…

The fabric is a crinkle cotton I bought from @sistermintaka last year and have been too scared to cut into ever since 🫣 But I think this was the perfect pairing.”
